Hello from HFS Land

roaring dragon, spore, monster friday
GAil, MAtt, Heidi, Mary, etc. and sundry: You have my permission to post my PayPal email, which is divalea@gmail.com

Right now, crass be damned, money is what we need so we can go buy clothes and shoes and replace my computer and art supplies so I can work. (Yes, I need to work.) And we will likely be in a rental for at least a month, since half the house will need to be rebuilt, and oour insurance only pays so much for that. (Bless Roxanna Rubio, who wrote our insurance payments into our house payments!)

PLEASE DON'T SEND CLOTHES, we don't have any place to put them! Donate them locally, you could very well be helping someone in our situation.
Also crass be damned, Girl's Nintendo DS was slagged. So, you know. It's a thing, but she loved that thing.

The Red Cross has come and gone and we have air matteresses and referrals and money to replace our scrips and get everyone a nice pair of pants and some shoes.

I'll be on and off all day. Feel free to email Lisa Jonte (see how I make free with your email, Lisa!) lrjonte @ arcanumvisual . com for my ground address if ou need it.

And that's it for now. I have to go see if I have some shoes and a pair of pants so I can go to Wal-Mart.

THANK YOU ALL for your good wishes. I am holding you very close to my heart.

If someone does set up a paypal donation spot please say so and I will make sure everyone on Nightgig sees it.

We'll have a button up on the Zeus site tonight for donations and we'll be taking them in the store.

You let us know what we can do. If I need to drive down there, I'll do it.

much love and support

I WILL SEND SHOES. Go to http://www.skechers.com and tell me what you want. Size, style and color - and size the kids with care, they come in three size runs and if you get it wrong, it's a nightmare. Tell me where to ship and it's done. DONE. (One pair of sneakers and one pair of good. No problem.)

I've had three house fires. They suck.

THANKS. We will shop tomorrow evening and send you what we want.

Neither kiddo wears a kid size, so that's not an issue. We had Boy measured at Payless for some shoes today and Holy Toledo he's a size 11 MENS!

Heads up!
Gail & Heidi posted that your paypal address is mojocatshoes@yahoo.com. I sent some $$ to that address before I saw this post by you, so make sure to check both accounts for money.

Wishing you the best.

Lea, I'm spread the news as far and wide as I can, even in the abyss of the TokyoPop blogs.... I hope you get as much help as you can, and it's good to hear you're all doing okay.

Hey, Lea. This is from Matt, the husband. He hasn't got an LJ, so I'm running relay.

"Oh, fuck. I'm so sorry, Lea. That is completely brutal. I'm just glad you and the kids are okay. But, Jesus, losing pets and art is bad. Slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.

I wish you luck getting your life back together and getting the kids back into something like normality. Once you've got a place to stay, don't be shy about putting up a wishlist or something. You've got plenty of friends who'd like to help you guys out however we can."

Also, donation is forthcoming.

There's a little more there in the mojocatshoes account from me; I sent the $ before I saw the updated address. I'll refer all new inquiries to the gmail account

Wednesday is in the air right now so she won't know yet. I'll let her know as soon as I see her (just after she deplanes).

I'm going to post your information on Websnark. If I can do anything, please let me know.

Good news! It looks like a VERY generous poster from the Bendis board (bless them, they really are taking this to heart) has a DS and games to donate, so that's one concern gone!

At this point I just want to throw everything at the situation without thought.

That said - we were working a CAPE 2.5 live art show only for the fall to offset CAPE expenses.

We can change the beneficiary to Lea and I know she'll be due for some live art therapy.

edit: Just got of the phone with Scott Hinze - We'll plan a live art show for when Lea's ready.

Lea, when you can, the guys on the bendis board want to send DS games, and were hoping to find out what games Girl wants or lost. I realize there are more important things going on but I also understand how this might be a comfort to Girl right now.

Thanks, keep your chin up!

I sent you a few bucks at the divalea@gmail.com account- I hope that was right. If not, email me at ray@raycornwall.com, and I'll send you some more. Don't worry about crass. I wish I had enough to replace her DS- I know how much those things help in these times. And I can't imagine what you're going through right now. Stay strong!

Don't know what to say. I'm really sorry this happened. It's terrible about the pets and the art. I hope everything gets back to normalish soon.
I wish I could help but being so poor... F it. I'll scrape together something. Just sorry in advance that it'll probably be an almost insultingly small amount. But every bit helps, right?

Yes, it does. And, really, it's okay if you can't, just tip a beer for the furkids.

The contractor working on my house does a lot of fire repair. He may be able to recommend someone in your area.

Finding Shoes for Walmart
Our fire happened with [info]fierce_rabbit and I were working at the Ren Fest. We had to go to Target in garb. I was in a kilt.

Sorry, I fail at internet commerce...
I kind of screwed up and hit the button for the commission art - Description should be blank, and so any orders you have for annechen67 with a yahoo email are to buy stuff you need, not extra headaches now. Sorry I was short and to the point earlier, but my first reaction after hearing you and the kids were okay was to try to fix what I could.

I have fuckall in the way of money right now, but I do have some spare computer hardware. Right now, the best box I have is a dual Pentium III server (rackmount, but it has a lid, so would serve as a really large desktop) with 1GB of RAM. It has no hard drive, but if someone has a spare IDE drive or two, that would suffice, or a suitable one could be had at Fry's for $60-$80. It's not really a graphics machine, but it's a decent workhorse.

I might also be able to pull a drive from the busted Windows box (1.2GHz AMD box, I forget its other specs) or see what it would take to get that one in working order. There's also a two-year-old Dell Inspiron laptop that I'm still nominally using but could do without for a while.

Let me know, and I'll dig through the couch cushions for shipping money.

I could order a HDD from Best Buy if you're going to send the computer. (It probably wouldn't be the biggest ever, but enough for an XP machine.)

Also, will she need a copy of Windows XP to go along with that?
