NLEx: Diagram of a Fox

roaring dragon, spore, monster friday
Fox has to have everything seen here, PLUS a towel, to go swimming. Welcome to the world of mini-Monk.

Well, obviously it would be just wrong to head for the pool and not have the proper equipment and fashionable gear. These are all Items of Power, especially the keys (I love keys!) and the Green Lantern Ring. One simply must be properly equipped!

What they also do is a) keep Fox feeling secure, he's always needed talismans and b) help him regulate and balance himself. The googles keep water out of his eyes, the shades on top cut glare (he's light sensitive), the wristbands help him keep track of his arms and hands, the weight of the keys is comforting (and also is part of his fascination with doors).
It's also a bit of costly: Bob and Enzo from ReBoot wore goggles, J & K from Men in Black wore shades, Space Ghost wears power bands,

That's what I was kind of getting at. I have a fascination with keys and locks and doors as well, and they are talismans for me. Proper equipment, it seems to me, consists of an arrangement of talismans. We put them on and feel right. Items of Power.

And Green Lantern is just COOL.

Yes! Does Fox have the cool, heavy plastic ring? I love mine, even though it's nearly big enough to go over 2 of my fingers.

I was going to ask about the 3Wolves shirt until I read the note.

Hairy damn legs...:sigh: growing up so fast...

His dad bought it for him. ^__^ I LOL'd when I saw it. Dad had no idea 3WM was a meme, a kind of touchstone for groupmock of culture cheese.

Love these drawings of yours, Lea! Ever thought of compiling these doodles of yours into a book? I mean, I love your comics works, but these are just so wonderful.

When there's enough, absolutely. I try not to think about that too much, because I'll start asking myself, "Would this be good in a book?" and I will surely grind to a standstill.

I love a man (and a parent) who understands the importance of accessories. And he's working the ironic hipster chic angle, too!

The lengths we go to to ensure our kids have a good day out. Awesome kid - awesome mom.

This reminds me a little of when I was little and everything I wore had to have tons of pockets and I keep them full of stuff. Mainly this was because The Doctor on Doctor Who always had tons of stuff in his pockets and it made me feel safe to have my stuff with me.

Love Love Love these. When you do get enough for a book I would be in line to buy my copy.

I don't like having stuff in my pocket because my pants look lumpy, but I do keep my stuff with me.
